Hello, my name is Gatina! I am a full stack developer focused on the MEAN stack with a passion for creating exceptional user experiences for my clients. I am a great communicator who can motivate groups, foster collaboration and translate ideas between individuals of all technical backgrounds. I am passionate about development processes, coding standards, iterative product development and open source technology.
My background in recruiting within the IT industry has increased my intellectual curiosity and has driven me to progressively develop my knowledge of all types of software. HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and JQuery
I created a simple game of Tic Tac Toe by practicing DOM manipulation using Javascript/JQuery. I utilized front end skills by prototyping and building a responsive web app. This application was deployed on Heroku.

Ruby on Rails, CRUD, Paper-Clip, RESTful routes, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
An online personal recipe book application with full CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Destroy) built in Ruby on Rails. There are two models, User and Recipes. I used the paperclip gem to add photos to user profiles and photos are stored to Amazon S3. After creating an account, user can create, edit, save and delete their favorite recipes.

Vanilla JavaScript and SQL
Won third place in my first hackathon by developing a platform to follow for better tracking and communication between Refugees and their case managers. This application used vanilla JavaScript for the front-end development and SQL for storing data.

Personal portfolio site, using Bootstrap and jQuery. Practice in implementing web design trends of flat and minimal design, cover photos with text overlay, and a one-page layout site. Also used Google Analytics.

Web App using MongoDB, Express.js, Node.js, RESTful routes, Bootstrap framework, AJAX, HTML5, and CSS3. AWS-SDK with Amazon S3. OpenWeatherMap API and IP-API Geolocation API.
This project was a team collaboration to draft, design and create a full-stack server-side JavaScript API (Application Program Interface) using Node.js, MongoDB and Express.js. We practiced Git flow (project version control) on GitHub and communicated on Trello and Slack to manage team collaboration.
